The Story of the Blue Rose

Our founder, Barbara Lovelady, came from a family of avocado farmers in California, known for their brown thumbs. Her grandmother was the exception to this curse, proven by her beautiful rose bushes that would radiate when they blossomed. The unique trait of these roses were that they grew in a rich blue hue. Everyone said this was impossible, that blue roses didn't exist naturally, but she knew if anyone could do the impossible, it was her grandmother. 

 

The rose bushes served as an inspiration to Barbara, showing her that nothing is impossible. Even when life feels hopeless there is a light, dim as it may be at the time. This is the principle Barbara embraced when creating Blue Rose Counseling, PLLC, in memory of her grandmother.
